Our winner was Christopher McDonald, a 15-year-old high school student from Charlotte NC. Christopher’s favorite subject in school is art and printmaking. He has been drawing for five years and would like to design video games after high school. His advice to other students who are about to enter high school is to “work hard and do your best.”

A graphic designer worked with Christopher’s design to create the current CSESA logo. He describes his original logo design like this:

“The Apple represents education and school. The path from the Apple to the City symbolizes the transition from school to work and grows and broadens just as our life experience grows. The two figures symbolize peer and social relationships that sustain us and help us to achieve greatness throughout our lives."
